Any child attending school in the City of Rye is eligible to participte, as long as they are age appropriate.


Rye Little League offers three divisions of play:

Majors
Players are 12 years old (and 10 & 11 year olds who are drafted for the tryout).  Pitching is by players and all players must use a WOOD bat. 

Intermediates
Players are 10 and 11 years old and a few 9 year olds.  Pitching is by players.  Players who attend tryouts may be drafted into the Majors.  

Minors
:
Players are 7, 8 and 9 year olds.  Two session per week - one weeknight (Mon-Thurs) session beginning at 6 pm, and Saturday session (various times). Friday 6pm reserved as a rain date for weekday rainouts.  Approximately 1st half of Spring Season Instructional-based, latter portion includes Games. During games in the Spring, pitching is done by a pitching machine. Summer season is a kid pitch game.


Games:

Each division expects to play 2 games per week.  One during a weeknight starting at approximately 6 pm.  A second game is scheduled for Saturday during various times.  Sunday does not have scheduled games, however the Major division might need to schedule a rain make up for Sunday.



Rye Babe Ruth League
For players OVER the Little League age of 12; Rye offers a Babe Ruth League.
