Important information regarding Tournament Team Commitment
Tournament Team:
As many of you know, following the end of our regular season and playoffs, which concludes on Championship Saturday, June 8th, we will field our Tournament Teams.

Rye's Tournament Team participates in the Annual Little League World Series Tournament, which begins for our players locally within District 20 in June and culminates in Williamsport, Pennsylvania in late August.

The Tournament Team is a “select travel team,” and the level of competition is quite high. As a result, the level of commitment required of players is also very high, including many practices. (eg. Last year’s team practiced six to seven times a week - on weekday evenings and weekends).   Their game schedule lasted thru July in the double elimination tournament. The amount of time required depends upon how far in the tournament the team progresses; if the team keeps winning, it could theoretically play until August 20th in the final game.

Please understand, the availability of the player for tournament games and practices is highly significant when determining the team.   An individual player's scheduling conflicts may disqualify the player from Tournament Team  (eg. due to secondary sports/teams, camps, etc.) in which case a substitute player will be selected.

Please note, those player who can not commit or are not selected to a team will have the opportunity  to play on our Summer Teams. Registration and Details will follow shortly.

As always feel free to contact me at

Finally, and very importantly, thank you to all players, parents, and coaches for making Rye Little League

a highly regarded program in District 20.
